    Title:Why 3-D TV still hasn't caught on
    Source:http://www.cnn.com/2012/01/05/tech/gaming-gadgets/why-3d-tv-not-popular/index.html
Summary:3-D tv started showing up in 2010. They are not that popular though. This is because of high prices, lack of 3-D channels, and uncomfortable viewing experiences. many of us thought that 3-D was for the movie theaters not the living room or home environment. Many people do not like to wear the 3-D glasses and get headaches from watching the tv. Consumers are starting to buy more 3-D tvs as they improve and become more affordable. The 3-D tvs are doing much better in Europe and China compared to North America.
Interests: I choose this article because I am very interested in tvs and electronics in general. I find 3-D tvs quite interesting but I prefer the movies. I don't think that I would ever purchase a 3-D tv even thought they are becoming more popular over the years. I can not wait to see where these 3-D tvs will lead us to in the future and how they may affect our lives.

    Source: Pc world: http://www.pcworld.com/article/212440/the_3d_printer_revolution_countdown_print_your_own_pc_coming_shortly.html
Summary: The article I chose to research was called “The 3D Printer Revolution Countdown: Print Your Own PC Coming Shortly” by David Daw. Around the world people are beginning to research the prospect of 3D printing (the printing of solid objects, in 3 dimensions). 3D printing is a slowly developing industry. The first step in the process is making the computer/printer realize what it’s going to print. To do this they must use machines that scan the surfaces and record them into the computer. The industry itself is currently encountering difficulties because it has no main seller. Yes it would be cool to be able to print 3D objects but only for a while and printers start at the lowest price of $650.00-$3000.000. They are currently experimenting with the idea of multi-material printing where more than one substance is used rather than just one. The materials they have used so far range from plastic to steel. There are many factors in the material selection such as melting point and such. They are even considering the idea of printing food. Overall, we are beginning to see a new field in the market, that will most likely reach its peak in future years.
Interest: I chose to read and summarize this because I think it’s really cool that we may someday be able to print 3D objects at home. Also, not to sound too nerdy, though it will, I have seen Star Trek and the do this. It really makes you wonder if everything we see on TV will someday be possible.

In the past, other companies tried to make a similar product. Lockheed Martin Corp made the universal load carrier, a similar product to the Ekso. Ekso Bionics also made the Eksohiker, meant for walking and carrying heavy objects. But the Eksohiker and the ULC both exhausted its owners after a couple of steps. The Ekso is way more efficient, and is being sold to some hospitals.
Interest: I chose this article because the title was gripping and made me want to know more. Also, this article is a symbol of how far we have come and will come in technology today. It was truly, truly, truly awesome.

    Source: Scincedaily.com
Summary: At MIT College, a team of students, led by Pierre Lermusiaux, have conducted an algorithm for AUV's, or underwater vehicles, to find and navigate the fastest path to a destination anywhere in the ocean. These days, AUV's are used mainly for military protection of ports, underwater oil well repairs, or marine research. It is very complex, and sometimes the AUV's take very wide routes around to their destination, using currents as boosters and avoidind confrontational currents. The students say this new algorithm can also be used for aircraft and tiny medical robots in the circulatory system.

title:us government use unreal games to train fbi agents and medics
summary:periences thanks to its popular Unreal Engine platform. But while games like Batman: Arkham City and Gears of War are certainly entertaining, virtually beating up thugs and fighting subterranean creatures doesn't exactly translate into real world skills. However a new agreement with teaching software developer, Virtual Heroes, could see Epic's platform used to create more practical experiences and train medical staff and law enforcement officers to handle high-stress situations. By using Epic's Unreal Engine 3, some United States government agencies like the FBI and US Army are hoping to give their employees tools for virtually practicing their skills in a more realistic environment and better prepare them to save lives.
